Mouse problems

The mouse on my MacBook air has been acting up recently and has been randomly clicking things while Im scrolling through a page, or even when Im at the tabs section. It will drag a bookmark item away, move a tab or even completely close it. While on web pages it will come up with the double click options and hits the back option, and while on a word document will completely cut things out or move words to another part of the paper. Ive checked to make sure there weren't any bluetooth enabled devices that could be causing this problem like other responses to similar problems have suggested but there was nothing. This has been a problem for about 3 days now, and it seems to only be getting worse.

Try these steps:

1. Turn your Macbook Air Off

2. Unplug the power and anything else plugged into the computer.

3. Hold down the left Option + Control + Shift keys along with the power button at the same time for 30 seconds. The Macbook Air should NOT turn on.

4. Afterwards, turn the Macbook Air On and immediately hold down the Command + Option + P + R keys before the Apple logo appears on the screen. Hold them down until you hear your Mac chime for the third time or restart for the third time. Afterwards let the keys go and let the Macbook Air start up

5. Test your trackpad to see if it works better.

Hope this helps!
