why can't i install a osx upgrade to my origanal mac pro?
Why can i not upgrade my macpro 1,1 running ox10.6.8 to the latest os? Very frustrating indeed.

The 2006 and 2007 Mac Pros cannot be upgraded past 10.7, as 10.8 Mountain Lion and above requires a 64-bit EFI (boot firmware), which they lack. You would need to contact Apple to get a 10.7 Lion redemption code for the App Store - it's not publically available.
