Q: iMovie on macbook

I already have iMovie on my iPhone 5s and I also want to install iMovie on my macbook (OS X Mavericks). Both of my iPhone and macbook have the same apple ID, but I can't install iMovie in my macbook, its written that I have to pay . May I ask how's the mechanism? Thank you.

MacBook Pro, iOS 7.0.6

The reason you must purchase the app is because the iMovie app that runs on your iPhone is written for iOS based devices.

The iMovie app for your Mac runs on Mac OS X. Two different apps, same name.
