    Hey there iPhone bowy,

It sounds like you are not able to use Wi-Fi since updating to iOS 7.1.1. Depending on the symptoms, I would use the following troubleshoooting from the article named:

iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections

    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1398

    1. Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi off and on. If your Wi-Fi setting is dimmed, follow these steps.
    2. Confirm that your Wi-Fi router and cable or DSL modem are connected to power, turned on, and connected to the Internet. If not, refer to your network administrator or Internet service provider (ISP) for assistance.
    3. Restart your iOS device.
    4. Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and locate the Wi-Fi network to which you're connected.
    5. Tap TS1398_i-1.png and Forget this Network.
    6. Try to connect to your desired Wi-Fi network.
Note: You may need to enter your Wi-Fi password again if your network requires one.
    7. Turn your Wi-Fi router off and on2. If your ISP also provides cable or phone service, check with them before attempting this step to avoid interruption of service.
    8. Update your device to the latest version of software.
    9. Update your Wi-Fi router to the latest firmware2. For AirPort Base Stations, install updates using the AirPort Utility.

There is also a section labeled:

If the issue is still unresolved

Follow the steps below for the issue you're experiencing.

from which I would choose the most relevant symptoms to what you are experiencing, if the above troubleshooting does not resolve the issue.

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

    All the very best,

    Sterling

I have tried all the steps listed several times.  I even set up my iPhone 4s as a new phone.  Wifi toggle will not move- is greyed out. I called apple and they suggested all the things listed here, which did not solve the problem.  At the end of phone conversation - it was suggested I take phone in for repair for $199- as this phone is over one year old (but less than 2 years old).  I updated to 7.1 a few weeks ago. Why wifi ever turned off I don't know bc I never turn it off.  I guess it turned off or quit working on its own.  As I look for updating contract with at and t - I have to wonder if getting a newer iPhone is a good choice.  It's very disappointing that the product is unreliable and after one year the user is left with a $199 charge to repair.

No wifi, no bluetooth.  Recently upgraded to iOS 7.1.1.

**** Wi-Fi Not Available **** error message.  Click OK.  Its not OK.

Just got off phone with apple support:

    1.  Reset Network settings

    2.  Toggle airplane mode

    3.  Turn on/off device

    4.  Restore to factory settings

    5.  Still did not work.  No wifi or bluetooth.

According to them, its not their problem.

Something in their software upgrade screwed the wifi/bluetooth up.

Their suggestion:  Since you are out of warranty, it has to be your device and not their upgrade.  You have the option to buy a new one or get it repaired for about $199.  Seriously, that was their resolution to a problem they caused.  They act like its only my problem when their are **** tons of people having the same issue.

Apple can kiss my ***.  Its time to take my business to someone else that doesn't feel entitled.

I absolutely agree, and I had to klick on your profile to send this reply back because i'm being told I'm not allowed to view what I requested which was the full conversation. I am totally disgusted with Apple at this point! Like you said tons of people are having this issue. So now I have an IPhone that's useless to me and I got the dam thing dissconected from service now also. I just can't be bothered paying for something that isn't going to work for me, because I installed an update for their equiptment. I will never purchase another Apple Product until they start to take responsibility for their issues. I bought myself a cheap little phone and will do what I need on it, or use my computer at home. Went and got myself a $29.00 dollar Ipod and transfered all my music on to. I downloaded thousands of dollars from the Itunes store also, but after this leaving such a bad taste in my mouth. I have been down loading all of my music from Amazon. I have $26.00 remaining on my Itunes account when it's gone they won't get another penny from me either. I will use Amazon!

It gets better. The Apple Support person said I had a good iCloud backup before we reset to factory settings.

I'm sure I did. Problem is after everything didn't work, I could use the iCloud backup because you need wifi (as far as I'm aware).

I Have done all of this stuff and more, none of it works! Why don't you guys just own up to this? It's your screw up, and your equiptment we are buying. We shouldn't have to pay for a recommended update from you, that screwed up all of our devices. Tons of people are having this same issue, coinscident, I think not? I got my Iphone 4 disconnected from service also, beacause I refuse to pay for something that isn't going to work for me. I bought myself a cheap little phone and a $29.00 little music player and I am using that for my music. I remember how we all did it before Apple came along. I have bought thousands of dollars of Apple products and downloaded thousands of dollars from the Itunes store, not anymore! I am downloading all my music from Amazon, at least they care about their customers. I have $26.00 left on my itunes store account and once it's gone, i'm done with them also. I can't beleive that a billion dollar corporation like Apple, that we the people supported and made rich will not be held accountable for their screw up!!!!!!!!!!!

I know, it's bloody ridiculous! It blows my mind that a Billion Dollar corporation like Apple, that we the people supported and made rich, will not be held accountable for their screw up.
