My iPad air does not prompt me to enter a password for WiFi.

My ipad air does not prompt me to enter a password for WiFi when I try to enter my locked wifi network.

iPad, iOS 5

You're only meant to enter the password on your iPad when you first set it up to connect to your wifi. Did that not happen? Are you sure it is locked? It should have a padlock next to in it Settings > Wifi > Choose a Network...

My internet provider told me that my wifi had been "comppromised" so they told me to change my password. This was a legitimate request as I checked it out, Even Apple aggreed that I should change it. Now when I try to get into my locked wifi I am not rpompted to put in my passwword,

Try using Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
