Q: I lost my itouch 4th gen at my workplace. Someone have stolen it and I am sure it is my colleague who stole it. I have seen him use it, all with the same physical features. Unfortunately, he reformatted the gadget. Any possible evidence I could show him?
My colleague was the one who stole my ipod touch. I saw him use it at our workplace, with all the exact physical features (4th gen, 8G, with black burnt screen on the upper right corner of the gadget, soft home button, many scratches at the back, updated to iOS 6). I confronted him already, unfortunately, that was all the evidence I had. My files were all gone because he had reformatted it. I am very eager to have it back. I just don't have the evidence that I need. I no longer have the serial number of the gadget because it was only given to me as a present. Gadget only: no charger, no box. Can I trace it using my purchased apps at the appstore/itunes, whatever?
