Q: This morning I updated IOS 7 on my iphone 5s and now I get "Invalid SIM" and can't use the phone.

I updated my iphone 5 to a new version of IOS 7 this morning. Now I have "Invalid SIM" displaying and I can't call out. I've tried resetting it. Is there anything else I can do?

iPhone 5, iOS 7.1.1

Start with the article below to troubleshoot issues with the SIM card on your iPhone. Try restarting your iPhone as well as ejecting the SIM and then insert it back in.

had the same problem today

1.Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

2.Turn off your Phone

3. Take your sim card holder tray out.

4. Chant a random magic spell, blow some air on it.

5. Turn on your IPhone . when it is on the lockscreen push the sim card in.

Worked for me.
