iOS 7.1.1 Bluetooth speakers sound issue

Since updating to iOS 7.1.1 I can no longer hear sound from my Bose SoundLink Mini speakers. I have restarted and reset both devices and paired the connection again. My phone will connect to the speakers but can't hear a sound. I have ensured the volume is up on both devices. Has anyone else had issues after upgrading? How can this be fixed?
