Q: iphone 3 stuck on sync to itunes logo won't let me sync to itunes when plugged in comes up with error code3253, Help?!!!

My friend has a iphone 3, it won't turn off from the sync to itunes logo and also has error code 3253. when its plugged into itunes, itunes can't pick it up!! any help would be appreciated!
