VESA Mount for 2014 iMac?
Is there anyway to have the latest iMac to be on VESA mount?
iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9.2)

There is no such thing as a 2014 iMac however the 2012 & 2013 iMacs do not have an aftermarket VESA mount available from Apple. However you can order the 2013 iMacs with a VESA mount, you would need to order from Apple's on-line store.
You can buy a specific version of iMac that has no
desktop stand, only equipped with VESA blank
attachment location, & does not come with mount.
•iMac - Buy iMac with VESA Built-in Mount Adapter- Apple Store (US)

That'd be in the Apple Store online, in iMac store.
There does not appear to be a way to adapt a
standard iMac model to VESA, with newer ones.

A product specialist at a retail store or main phone
number to online sales could help route you for info.
If you already bought an iMac and need VESA,
in the US you have 14 days to return it if you
do not like it; in good condition. Then you can
order the other model specific to VESA mount.
And probably order a mount separately.
Good luck & happy computing! 🙂

VESA mount will not work on 2013 and newer models. Apparently you can install a desk mount on these iMacs without a VESA mount.
For the unit to work with a VESA, the model as indicated by the Apple Store
documentation supplied in the above post says the unit would be ordered as
a VESA mount iMac as a special order from the Apple Store online.
Certain older models (build year model identified correctly) would be VESA
compatible as shipped, since their base-foot was removable as indicated in
the Apple support documentation at that time. There is no issue with the info
supplied in my earlier post on this topic, relative to products available then.
Thank you for suggesting an alternative to the VESA mount, either as allowed
by CTO iMac build as shipped for VESA, or an older model with VESA included.
The product lines continually see upgrade and we're among the last to know
given we're just user-to-user peer volunteers & aren't Apple staff or employees.
Anyone can go back to an earlier thread that has answers (if not locked) and
seek to upgrade the final word. ~Try that with a new unanswered reply. 😝
