I am wondring if there is a free software that can convert the movie that I have purshase from iTunes to MP4 or AVI format.

iTunes movies cannot be converted. They have copyright protection preventing this. In fact .m4v is already .mp4 wth a different name but it should already play on any device which is capable of playing an iTunes Store purchase (Apple mobile devices and computers).
