Q: my wifi will not work when I turn on my macbook pro

Hi Everyone!

I hope someone can assist me in the ongoing and frustrating matter with my 09 macbook pro.

I have 10.8.5 mountain lion on my macbook

Most times I turn on my macbook pro the wifi is turned off and will not turn on unless I restart, shut down and turn on or take the battery out.  This works sometimes.  This morning I had to do all of these things and after 5 times the wifi finally came on and is working just fine.

I have taken this issue to a macbook technician and I was sold on replacing my harddrive because it had errors.  However I told the technician that this started after I installed mavericks.

Once the harddrive was replaced I did not install mavericks. I kept mountain lion.  As time passed on I would agree to update mountain lion and during one of the updates the wifi started acting up again. 

It is so frustrating.  Does anyone else have this issue and how did you fix it?  I would think this would be a common issue but the apple techs are not aware of it.
