how to remove songs from iPhone

I tried your suggestion but with no success can I delete the playlist and start again

I finally figured this out thanks to someone called blessed something on this blog!! I tried to thank or reply but had to log in first and now I cant find the great person with the great info. I had spent several hours trying to remove old songs from my iphone 5c (ios 8 something) to no avail! Tried deleting all, even tried to sync whole itunes library first...yadayada.....

This finally worked for me: GO INTO SETTINGS, ITUNES AND APP STORE, CLICK ON YOUR APPLE ID AND LOG OUT!! when you log back in, the flippin songs are finally gone!
