Q: Itunes Store welcome page stays "blank"

Hello,

SInce a week, when I try to connect to Itunes Store to buy a song, once I clik to Itunes Store I only get a "white page" which shows on top the amount of my credit and and the line with the following options: MUSIC / MOVIES / TV SHOWS... but the page below stays blank... and when I do a search for an artist, agter having enterred the artist name: the page still stays blank.

I am not sure why this is happening as it worked fine a week ago ... but not anymore since the past five days I tried. Can anyone help maybe please?

Thanks in advance

    Hey marctattoo,

Thanks for the question. I understand that you are experiencing a “blank” iTunes Store welcome page. This issue can sometimes be caused by conflicting software. For troubleshooting information, see this resource:

    Thanks,

    Hi Matt.

Thanks for your message and reply.

I actually already did found those links on the Apple Support Site and I followed EACH and EVERY steps to take they did suggest ... without any result.

When I did run AUTORUN: no conflict was apparent in the WINSOC PROVIDERS Section. Only the HKLM related to BOnjour did show up.

I then made sure that my ZoneAlarm Firewall was letting all Apple Porgrams do their jobs and connections correctly... I even added the needed exceptions for the needed PORTS and SERVERS

I even turned off ZoeAlarm and used Windows Firewall... without success.

I checked my HOST FILES and did reset them ...

but none of those steps did help.

I tried also the NETSH WINSOCK RESET without any success.

I then uninstalled again totally every little programs attached to Itunes ... and clean everything... made all needed updates and reinstalled Itunes latest version ... and still have the same problem "Secure Link To Itunes Store Failed"... It's quite frustrating as i do not seem to find what went wrong.

All worked fine last week... and now (since a couple of days): Blank Page on Itunes Store and impossible to buy anything anymore.

I really do not know what went wrong as I did not (voluntarely) update any programs over the past days... which could have maybe had that result.

I do not know anymore what else to do ...

Here is again my diagnostics after all the cleaning reinstalling and else.

    UPDATE (late Friday night)

I finally did found the solution:

I needed to download and install Windows XP Service Pack 3 Network

    http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=24

Since I upgraded my computer from Windows XP Service Pack 2 to Service Pack 3 (takes a couple of hours though… just keep running Windows Updates once you have installed the first batch of Windows XP Service Pack 3 Network) I can connect again to Itunes store… and everything seems to be working fine …finally.
