Using Sprint/Nextel i560 Cell Phone as a USB Modem

Everyone I talked to at Sprint/Nextel and Motorola said "you can't do it."

Well I'm writing this post using the i560 as a modem and the phone is connected to the computer using the Motorola NNTN5405 USB cable.

I did not have to download a single driver. All that was needed was to configure the Network settings under PPP using s=2 as the dialup number.

ALL other info in the PPP box is left blank. After selecting other options, make sure that the "wait for dial tone option" is OFF.

Also, OS X 10.4.7 has a modem script for Sprint PCS in it's list of scripts that you need to select.

That's about it. Tiger does the rest.
