I am trying to log into gamecenter through Sims Freeplay but I can't press the password bar almost like it's not picking up my finger press

I AM TRYING TO PRESS THE PASSWORD BAR WHENIM TRYING TO GET ONTO THE PARTY BOAT THOUGH GAMECENTER PLEASE HELP.

iPad, iOS 7.1
