Mpeg-4 from Compressor - license fee?

I am working on project that will need mp4 files. There are about 200 video clips with mp4 format and put them on DVD and sell DVD to academic customers. Do I need to pay Mpeg-4 license? I have no idea. Someone told me that. Appreicate your reply.
