What kind of adapter do I need to connect a Sony display (from my PC) to my PowerMac g5? Note that I've never used a Mac before and I just acquired a used g5, model A1047.

The Sony display has both an HD-15 port (now in use for connecting it to my PC) and a DVI-D (dual link) port, whose cable I can't find at the moment. Will the DVI-D cable work with the G5? Also, does this mean that I can connect both computers to this one display?
Yes, you can connect both systems to Sony's display.
DVI-D to DVI-D or DVI-I to DVI-I(both dual or single link) cable works I think.
