First, I'm not sure if you have a MacBook or an iBook, but there are no 2005 MacBooks. The first Core Duo MacBooks were introduced January 10, 2006. If you replace that logic board with the correct replacement item, it still won't run Mavericks. http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/macbook_pro/index-macbookpro.html
The oldest "MacBook" capable of running Mavericks is the late 2008 aluminum Unibody MacBook. The early 2009 and newer white Unibody MacBook (with rubberized bottom cover) is also capable of running Mavericks.
