May 1, 2014 1:20 AM in response to LeninNiclavosby Justin Y. 葉,To remove ads you can get extensions for safari and chrome.
Safari: https://extensions.apple.com/details/?id=com.betafish.adblockforsafari-UAMUU4S2D 9
Chrome: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/adblock/gighmmpiobklfepjocnamgkkbiglid om?hl=en
If these links don't work try...
Safari: Search up "Adblock safari"
Chrome: Go to chrome web store and search up "adblock" on there
This is how the symbol looks like...
This add on is totally free but they might ask you for donations once installed, but you are not obligated to do so. that request only appears on the initial install.

Aug 13, 2014 10:57 AM in response to dominic23by strider15,Thank you so much dominic! I downloaded some stupid video player 3rd party thing on my mbp retina last night and all these pop ups and adware started showing up in chrome and safari even after i removed the video player. When i downloaded thesafemac adware removal tool it immediately identified this file called "downlite" or something light that and moved it to the trash, i restarted and emptied the trash and no more ads on chrome and safari. Thank you very much. That stuff was driving me nuts!
