Q: All of the sudden, out of the blue, my iPhone 5 will not respond to anything. It will not turn off, screen is showing my icons but doesn't respond to touch. Any ideas?

All of the sudden, without anything happening, my iPhone 5 will not respond to anything. It is fully charged and the screen is showing my icons but will not respond to touch. The on/off button doesn't work either so I cannot turn off the phone. Any ideas?

    Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.
