Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing after changing your Apple ID. I have a couple of suggestions to help you log into your iCloud account on your iPhone 5s.
First, I recommend the following article:

If you are still not able to log out of iCloud and are unable to reset the password for your previous Apple ID, I recommend using the following resource for assistance with resetting your previous Apple ID password:
