Ipad in lost mode and cant be unlocked

I put my ipad in lost mode because i couldnt find it. when i found it i tried to unlock it but i cant remember the password. its also not connected to the internet and the computer i set it up with is broken. ive also tried to erase it too but i cant until its connected to internet which is impossible because its locked. i cant send it back or anything because ive had it for over a year
