mouse pointer problem on OS X

Hi there,

I have a mouse pointer problem on my new Mac Book Pro. When I move over a web link it becomes a "hand" and then when I move to the red button to close a tab it does not change back to an "arrow" but stays a hand. Same thing happens when I go from an text field back to the red or minimize buttons. In short, it does not change with the task it should do.

I have tried to change the size of the pointer and the speed but it didn't help.

Any suggestion how to fix the problem?
