Blue tooth connectivity

My iPhone 5c used to work with bluetooth in my car. It is still paired with my Chevrolet Traverse but "says" it is not connected to bluetooth. The blue tooth is turned on. There is a spinning gear while it searches for my device. Please help! I need hands free calling again!!

I just got my very first iPhone (6 plus) after many years of android (Galaxy4s). I was trying to pair a few blue tooth devices to my new phone. They were actually still paired to my old phone. I simply pressed the power button and held it for a few seconds - until each device went into pairing mode and then the iPhone recognized each one. Up to that point, the iPhone was just a spinning wheel not recognizing any devices...
