I just bought a superdrive (on the advice of Mac Support) for my MacBook Air... in order to import dvds and cds into the Air. But now I can't see a way to do this. Help!

A music cd will rip into itunes. You can't rip dvds into itunes. You will need a third party software in order to rip a dvd.
when you open itunes go to iTunes>Preferences>General and where it says 'when a cd is inserted' choose 'ask to import cd'
Concerning DVDs, you need software which will encode the native DVD format to mp4/m4v in order to import it into iTunes.
