Q: trackpad lag

My trackpad is lagging really bad. Mouse jumps all over the place. I just bought it. Also I noticed my keyboard keeps dissconnecting and reconnecting

Mac mini, iOS 7.1.1

If you have any USB 3 devices attached, like external drives, disconnect them all and see if it improves. There have been reports of interference between bluetooth and USB 3 I seem to recall. Reply with result please
