Inserting track markers

I have a live recording made on Mini disk which is seen as one long track when I import it onto my mac. Is there a way to insert track markers with the song title in Garageband?

BTW I've never used GB before.

Thanks

What GarageBand version do you have?

What you want to do can be done in GarageBand '11, but not in GarageBand 10.0.

In GarageBand '11 can you import your recording into a Podcast project. Then insert chapter markers between the songs and optionally add cover artwork for the song sections.

Drag your audio file to the track area and select the podcast track.

In the Track Editor you can now add markers and edit the chapter titles.

In the current GarageBand version 10.0 this feature is no longer supported.

Okay, I burned it straight to disk which has worked - many thanks.

However when I tried to import the CD back into iTunes all the individual tracks are shown but without their titles, in G/Band I named each chapter as the title, so I have changed all the names in iTunes from Track1 etc to their real titles but can't find a way to import and save them, any ideas?
