Q: i got a iphone 5 with IMEI *********. later i came to know that its apple id is not activated. I want to use it.I retored it but it did not work.

i got a iphone 5 with IMEI ***********. later i came to know that its apple id is not activated. I want to use it.I retored it but it did not work. Apple id blocked. cannot use without activation

    Contact the seller and have them do these things:

     

    Before Selling/Giving Away an iOS Device

     

    Backup the device to iTunes or iCloud, if desired: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1766

    Settings > Messages > iMessage > Off

    Settings > FaceTime > Off

    Settings > iCloud > Delete Account (this only unregisters and deletes it off the iPhone)

    Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings

    If they refuse or the seller is not the original owner, return the iPhone for a refund

    as it will be useless. There is no workaround for Activation Lock.
