music disappeared from my iPhone 4S
all music from my iPhone 4S disappeared (IOS 7.1.1, 11D201)
I added music to my iPhone by autofilling through iTunes.
iTunes shows that there is still music on my iPhone and it doesn't want to autofill it back on my iPhone because it thinks there is still music on it, even if there is no music what so ever in my iPhone
I tried checking the "Replace all items when Autofilling"' box, but NOTHING happens and iTunes completely ignores it.
When I open "On This iPhone" in my iTunes there is a ! sign next to all of the songs, but again NOTHING happens when I click on it.
when iTunes asks me if I want to replace all the songs on the iPhone (WHICH DO NOT EXIST ON MY PHONE) with the songs from the iTunes library I chose, AGAIN nothing happens.
I tried changing the name of the Playlist which I want to autofill onto my iPhone, with the same songs, again NOTHING happens
I powered off my iPhone a number of times, and rebooted both my computer and iTunes, again to no avail. still no changes.
when I try to play the songs that iTunes says are on my phone, nothing happens, and when I play them from the original playlist that's in my iTunes, everything works fine.
when I try to delete the songs iTunes claims are on my iPhone, it cannot be done.
how do I make iTunes realize there is NO music on my iPhone so that it would finally put the music back on my iPhone? and WHY did this happen? do I need to reinstall iTunes so that it would start seeing what's REALLY on my iPhone and what isn't?
iPhone 4S, iOS 7.1.1
