Downloaded App won't open.

I downloaded Civilization V from the App store. However, when I tried to open the app, I received the following message:

“Civilization V: Campaign Edition.app” is damaged and can’t be opened. Delete “Civilization V: Campaign Edition.app” and download it again from the App Store.

I deleted the app and downloaded it again. Same problem. Is there a solution to this problem? (By the way, I downloaded a free app to see if that would open. It did without a problem). Ialso shut down the computer and restarted it... That didn't help.

Since you can download and open free apps, then the issue is with the Civilization app.

1. Contact the app developer > Aspyr Support : Submit a request for assistance

2. If you do not receive a reply within three business days, contact Apple > Mac App Store - Contact Support

3. And you can report problems here > How to report an issue with your iTunes Store, App Store, Mac App Store, or iBookstore purchase

That may mean that you have a case-sensitive startup volume. Select its icon (named "Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) in the sidebar of a Finder window and open the Info window. In the General section of the window, what is the Format?
