Migrating from Opera Mail (on Windows) to Apple Mail

Just moved to Apple from Windows. All my emails are in Opera (few thousand mails). How do I migrate them to Apple Mail?

Thanks for the responce.

Icreated one single MBOX format file (with extension .mbs) for all my INBOX and SENT folder using EXPORT function available in Opera.

From Apple mail, using IMPORT function, I imported the above created MBOX file. Apple mail imported only one EMAIL out 25K total mails available in the MBOX file created above. File size of the abvoe MBOX file 7GB which means, all the mails were exported properly. Only Import function Apple mail did not take all the mails and it downloaded MOST OLDEST MAIL of the 25K mails.

There seems to be some issue for importing directly in APPLE MAIL. There must be some other way using thrid party tools. Please suggest

The easiest solution is move all your e-mail to IMAP mailboxes on the server. Be careful when you do that your old mailboxes remain on the your machine by backing them up first. Once you have moved all your mail to the server you can migrate it easily to Mac OS X Mail. If you have limited server space. Do it one mailbox at a time.

Mac OS X Mail supports IMAP together with on my Mac mailboxes.
