May 4, 2014 6:43 AM in response to VIA4321by EmBee82,Same Problem here since some days. But I don't have 7.1 but 7.04 on all devices, so it's not an 7.1 problem.

May 4, 2014 9:24 AM in response to VIA4321by badgerfan84,Have tried to restore my iPad mini running iOS 7.1.1 from a backup. AOL Push email was working correctly at the time I backed up the iPad. Still no luck. AOL must have changed something to break the feature.
I have also tried:
- Hard reboot of the ipad
- Deleting and adding back the accounts
I notice that if I toggle the Push setting, under Settings, Mail Contacts Calendar, Fetch New Data, that my ipad will generate notifications of new mail pending in the account. However, this is a one time fix only. After that no more notifications.

May 5, 2014 5:03 AM in response to VIA4321by Mav75,Pushes seemed to work fine for me up until this past weekend. I have iOS 7.1.1. Is it possible this is just an intermittent problem, or has anyone been having this problem since the iOS 7.1.1 release?

May 5, 2014 5:27 AM in response to Mav75by badgerfan84,Yes, it was this past Thursday, 5/1/14, when I noticed that AOL push stopped working. Push notifications for iCloud email still working for me. I don't think this issue is iOs 7.1.1 related for this reason. Am thinking its on the AOL side since restoring my backup from the time when push was working didn't fix the situation.

May 5, 2014 7:38 AM in response to VIA4321by Beav's Balding Bagels,I have to say that this is THE MOST FRUSTRATING this that can happen as I need my phone to puch e-mail from all my accounts and for it NOT to do this as a result of the update makes my phone a glorified brick! I did what the other posters suggested and nothing works......WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO APPLE???

May 5, 2014 8:59 AM in response to Beav's Balding Bagelsby VIA4321,AOL still not working, but reading the comments looks like the finger of blame is pointing towards AOL and probably just a coincedence it happened around the same time as the IOS7.1.1 update.
So far I have had to put up with cancelling the push option and relying upon a fetch scheduled for every 15mins. will have to see how that goes.
Anyone contacted AOL?

Gmail hasn't supported push on iOS devices since, I believe, last January unless you have the Gmail app.

May 5, 2014 9:39 AM in response to IdrisSeabrightby Beav's Balding Bagels,Sure they have! I have had my iPhone since Jan and my gmail (as a gmail e-mail account) has always pushed to my iPhone!

May 5, 2014 9:39 AM in response to Beav's Balding Bagelsby pdroth,Gmail does NOT push to iPhone, UNLESS it's setup as an exchange account.

May 5, 2014 9:50 AM in response to pdrothby Beav's Balding Bagels,No. My gmail is setup as a SMTP mail server and worked like a charm UNTIL the software update.

May 5, 2014 9:55 AM in response to Beav's Balding Bagelsby pdroth,That has nothing to do with being Push or not.
I think you need to check your mail settings - gmail should be fetching. You might not have it set.

Umm..no it isn't. The SMTP server is the server(s) at Google that send every gmail users emails. They do not reside on your phone therefore have nothing to do with push being enabled or not.

May 5, 2014 10:02 AM in response to pdrothby Beav's Balding Bagels,You are correct as let me allign the termonology. All my e-mail accounts are set to "Fetch New Data" via a "push" (where push means the data will push to the iPhone from the server where possible), EXCEPT for Gmail which is a "Fetch" (polling every 15 min). Now with that said; this all worked like a charm BEFORE the software update. Now none of my e-mail accounts will "Fetch" via a push or "Fetch" every 15 min for gmail. You have to go to the email account and drag down to update in order to get new mail.
