Q: fusefs.kext failed to load

NTFS-3G could not mount /dev/disk1s1

at /Volumes/WD My Book because the following problem occurred:

 

 

/Library/Filesystems/fusefs.fs/Support/fusefs.kext failed to load - (libkern/kext) link error; check the system/kernel logs for errors or try kextutil(8).

the MacFUSE file system is not available (71)

    The kext may not be compatible with Mavericks and it is not allowing it to load. Look for an update, or try reinstalling.

    Also, consider one of the paid NTFS alternatives so you can get support from them. Tuxera is one. Can't remember the other popular one.
