Cómo borrar items del disco de arranque?

Mi maquina está fallando al prenderla y aparece un mesaje que debo borrar items del disco de arranque. Cómo hago esto?

MacBook Air (11-inch Mid 2012), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5)
