My ipod won't let me enter my security code it is frozen

My ipod has been stuck on the lock screen for days and won't let me enter the security code, besides that i I tried turning it off and on, and tried to sync it , it says sync failed not enough space tried again, and it says it is stuck ,because it is lock. How do I restart if it don't let me enter my security code...?
