itunes could not connect to ipod touch because invalid response received from the device

Apple use to be great, but now I spend hours sorting out software etc.. I sold all my apple products.. Finished NOW!!! you waste our time..

I have an OLD Ipod and a new laptop. I authorized the new laptop and PAID for the Match and the downloads for all my music does not appear!! *** APPLE? I tried to connect my Ipod and I get an invalid response. No wonder I use PC's exclusively

Any luck yet, cause I am having the same problem. I thought it was a bad usb port since my macbook is about 11 years old, but tried syncing my old iphone 4 and no problems whatsoever.

Even I do have this question. One more thing to add here, I have one ipod nano and ipod nano is working perfectly fine with the same set up (iTunes 12.4.1.6, laptop OS windows 7, USBs and cable). But my ipod touch is not working. What could be the reason? Is there any issue in my ipod touch? or any issue in the cable?

I have the same issue. Everything was working fine between my iPhone 5 and my Mac BookPro a few weeks ago and now this. I'm using 10.10.4.

My wife's iPhone works fine like always. I have since reset my phone to original and I'm now having to re install everything and still no luck. Image Capture stopped working as well (asking to unlock my phone and after I pressed the "Trust" it still would not work) but since the reset Image Capture is now working again. *** is wrong with my phone and iTunes? I'm so done with this!! I used to love Apple and now it's all just....

I am having the same problem. I used iphone 5 for years and it was so easy to select or copy all photos across but i have not been able to copy from 6s to my Mac book since upgrade.

Need help desperately too.

Me too. I have tried everything - resetting the phone, updating everything, etc. Its VERY frustrating to have a phone filled up from a vacation and no way to download, use or delete the photos. I have found connecting to iTunes very buggy over the past two years, problems with my apple TV, etc. This is not the apple I signed up for years ago - its really going downhill.
