It sounds like your phone is not ringing when you get a call. I would start by checking to see if the side switch is Off with this info:
Turn the ringer on or off.

Turn the ringer on or off.
To turn just the iPhone ringer off, flip the Ring/Silent switch on the side of your iPhone.
If not, then I would next check to see if Do Not Disturb is enabled:
To make changes to your Do Not Disturb settings, tap Settings > Do Not Disturb.
