May 4, 2014 11:39 PM in response to Amin.Ghanimifardby Paul_31,Command + Shift + 3 should put a pic of the whole screen on your desktop. Command + Shift + 4 displays a crosshair that you can drag round a portion of an image - release it and the selection shoul be put on the desktop.

Command+Shift+4, (that is press and hold command and shift and then press 4). This will turn your mouse pointer into crosshairs.
After this press the space bar and you'll see the crosshairs turn to an icon of a camera. Use the mouse to move this camera over the window you wish to capture.
Click the mouse.
Your screenshot, of the window of that one application will appear in the location and format that is set for your account/computer.

Which is where I think I went wrong . I now think (after andyBall posted) that the OP also wants to grab the bits of the page you would normally have to scroll to see.

HT5775 how do I screen shot the whole safari page? (without third party app)
Not ;
HT5775 how do I screen shot ? (without third party app).
Anyway. Done now.
That said even the way I said will only capture what's on screen. If it's necessary to capture what's offscreen but scrollable the it's third party only I believe.

May 5, 2014 3:31 AM in response to Csound1by gumsie,I am. He said Safari. that means, (assuming they're running), not iTunes, iWeb etc etc. It can be done in one screen shot but not native to OSX.

May 5, 2014 3:36 AM in response to Amin.Ghanimifardby gumsie,When you say without third party app although it's your prerogative you've not put your reasoning so I'll make a suggestion anyway.
If it's because you don't want something third party then I cannot help.
If it's because you want a no cost option then can I suggest Paparazzi. Is it free? Not really, it's donation ware so it's up to you. But it would be good form to donate if you use it regularly.
