May 5, 2014 6:13 PM in response to Barry Hemphillby richdachin,Hi Guys,
Thank you for your suggestions. I have tried both but it did not resolve my problem.
Could it be that my keyboard is defective?
It's over 2 years old.
I just tried re-pairing it with my old macbook where it was working fine before I tried moving it to use with my new macbook pro. It didn't work. I am suspecting that something happened to the keyboard and that the keyboard itself is broken.

May 6, 2014 12:51 AM in response to richdachinby seventy one,Not necessarily. two years would be an unreasonable life span. All the same, it depends on the environment to some degree, exposure to humidity etc, which could then as Barry says, require it to be replaced. Would you be able to try it with another machine, like a friend's iMac for example. Or take it into another room in case there is wireless interference from sources you haven't considered?

May 6, 2014 5:58 PM in response to seventy oneby richdachin,Hi,
You're right, 2 years seems very short for a product such as this. It was working fine since I got it when it was linked with my old macbook. It had been linked with that machine since I purchased it until now.
It was only after I unlinked it and tried to link it with my new Macbook Pro that this problem surfaced. Now when I tried to link it back again with the original Macbook the same problem exisits.
I will take it back home this evening to try to link with my mac mini at home. If the same problem persists then I think we can safely conclude that the problem is with the keyboard.

May 6, 2014 8:45 PM in response to richdachinby seventy one,Do come back and tell us what happened in the end. Incidentally, is it under warranty?

May 7, 2014 6:08 PM in response to seventy oneby richdachin,No i don't think it is under warranty anymore. Actually it has been more than 2 years since purchase, probably closer to 4 years.
Unfortuantely taking it home and trying to link it in a different environment and surrounding to another source still didn't work. I went home and tried to link it to both my AppleTV and my Mac Mini, and both times the same problem was there.
I guess it is safe to conclude the keyboard has reached the end of it's life and I have to get a new one. Thanks for all of your help and input.
