In order to recover SMS, you would need to restore from a back up that contains those messages. If you don't have a back up containing those messages, they are gone.

I heard the recovery tool can't work if the data has been overwritten.
I want to see my old messages
Restore them from your backup. If you didn't back them up you cannot see them.
