I heard the recovery tool can't work if the data has been overwritten.

The links in this thread to recovery tools were scams to get your money. They have been removed by the hosts.

Recovery tools cannot work on iOS at all, and generally can't work on a Mac or Windows PC if the space has been reused. And they are very intrusive, as they must search your entire disk. As the vendors are generally lowlifes, there's no telling what they will do with whatever they find. Also, if your drive is solid state the recovery they can't work either, as SSD drives reallocate and readdress space dynamically.

I am using iphone6S. My important messages have been deleted. Please help me to restore my messages from iphone

Because reading the thread before posting it apparently didn't occur to you, I will repeat the solution:

If you have a back up containing the deleted text messages, you can restore your phone from that back up. Be aware that any data you've added to the phone since the back up was made will be over written. If you don't have a back up, the messages are gone.

How would someone know if there messages were backed up to the cloud? My back up was yesterday, but how would i know that those messages are backed up and if restoring will bring them back without deleting anything since the back up?

Messages are included in the back up. If you restore from that back up, you'll put the messages back on your phone. However, you will overwrite anything that was added to the phone since the back up was made.

If I have a back up containing the old messages? The messages were from years ago, so I dont know how to check if they were included in the back up. I recently added the MAC message to my desktop, and only the messages that started two months ago were on that application. I'm curious if thats all that will be backed up to my phone or will my cloud backup likely restore the messages from years ago. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Ever been late to a party? 9 months ago Stanlynny asked the question you responded to. The answers were posted to this thread 3 years ago, because someone else asked the same question 3 years ago. The same answers you posted. However, you cannot recover lost messages from an iCloud backup, as you suggest. You can only restore that iCloud backup, which will wipe everything off the phone that was added after the backup was made.

My son dunked my Evo 4G LTE under a foot of water. It was still on, so I powered it off by holding the top button down, then dried it out in rice for several days. Plugged it in, powered it on - amazing! Looked great! Had to leave for work, by the time I arrived an hour later the phone was a brick - no power, no reset holding the top button (with or without volume up or down), when connected to a computer via USB it neither registers no demonstrates any sign of power.

For any technical support related to an Android phone, you should post in an Android forum rather than here on an iPhone forum. You might also see if the phone manufacturer has a forum.

However, if the phone was water damaged, it is most likely that any data not back up is gone.

The post you responded to was really just for the purpose of inserting a disguised spam link to a malware site. All of the rest was filler. could have been
