I'm doing a degree course and have a Mac Book Air. When I import a word document on to my Mac and go to save, It will not save it as word doc. So do I save it as pages and then when I need export it convert it back to word? If I do this will it affect the document in any way, when it's open within word?

Where are you importing from? What version of MS Word are you running and what OSX are you running?
I'm running win 7 and Microsoft word 2010. I email and pick it up on the Mac, when I go to save it doesn't give me the option to save it as Word doc. If I create a document on the Mac it gives me the options to save.
