Hi, I need a recommendation... I need to download some inspriational vidoe clips from YouTube to my Mac - anyone got any suggestions? I have Mavericks and also iMovie and Final Cut Pro.

You need to rethink your plan. There are no YouTube "downloaders" in the App Store, because they're illegal. Any such app that you do manage to find is inherently untrustworthy. Some YouTube pages have a download link, and that means the rights holder has given permission for you to download the content and keep it. Otherwise you'll have to contact the uploader and ask for permission.
Hmm, so it doesn't hve to be from YouTube. Could be video clips from anywhere on the web... I don't want to break the YouTube user agreement.
I want to string video clips together and put them into a presentaion and also into a longer movie that will also contain still photgraphs. I'll use FCP for this bit, but in the meantime, any suggestions?
