Q: Power adapter question

I have a macbook pro 15" of 2008 with a power adapter of 85w megasefe.

Now I am going to buy me a Macbook Air 13 " i7, with power adapter 45w megasafe 2.

My question is: the adapter of 85w of the pro works perfectly with them of 13" of 60w. With the conversor of megasafe to megasfe 2, can I use the power adapter of 85w in the Macbook Air?

Thanks

MacBook Air, iOS 7.1.1

Yes with MagSafe to Magsafe2 adapter.

But Apple advises us to use the proper adapter.

    Power Adapter/ cord wattage

“Power adapters for Intel-based Apple notebooks are available in 45W, 60W, and 85W varieties. Although you should always use the proper wattage adapter for your Apple notebook, you can use an adapter of a higher wattage without issue.”
