Q: "No bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key"
I have tried pressing option key on startup but nothing happens, possibly because I have a wireless keyboard? If this is a problem can I use a normal wired keyboard? Which key on a wired windows key would have the option key functionality?

If you are having issues using startup keys (such as the Option key in order to use the Startup Manager) when using your wireless keyboard, you may find the following article helpful:
