Press Control-O to save the file. Press Enter when asked for the filename and Control-X to exit the editor. (Is it control S?) How come i could not save the file as it shows I am not allowed to save?

Hello kateckh,

If you're getting errors regarding to the ability to save the file you've opened with the 'nano' command, it may be that it was not opened using the 'sudo' command.

Enter this command and press Return:
sudo nano /private/etc/hosts

While it's not necessary to enable to the root user for this particular issue, the 'sudo' command allows you to act as the root user, which will allows for the modification of the 'hosts' file you'll need to edit.
