Lots of ideas as you have way too much junk installed, including what appear to be a number of unused or formerly used software items that you may believe you uninstalled, but didn't do it properly. You might be at a point where it would be easier to start over with a clean hard drive.

Once you have used CleanMyMac2 to get rid of all the orphaned files you need to have it uninstall itself as it's probably causing most of your slowdown.

You've got adware installed. Specifically these Safari Extension:

              Amazon Shopping Assistant: Version: 1.1

              Ebay Shopping Assistant: Version: 1.1

              Evernote Web Clipper: Version: 6.1

so uninstall them. There's probably more where they came from so use the Adware Removal Tool to check for anything else.

I have no idea what most of those Kernel Extensions are for. The PACE one seems to be out-of-date as it has the SnowLeopard version loaded.

Startup Items have been discouraged by Apple for many years now, but some older software insist on using it.

Flip4Mac and SilverLight are out-of-date. Probably others, as well.

4GB of RAM is bare minimum, so if you usually run a lot of apps at the same time, consider doubling that.

Your hosts file indicates you may be using pirated Adobe software, which is always a dangerous road to travel.

I actually downloaded and started a scan with CleanMyMac2 but as soon as I read about it beeing junk, i stopped and deleted it. (at least i thought I did). I just deleted them from Applications folder. Isn't that the proper way to do it? So what can I do about those Kernel extensions? The tool you suggested worked properly. Thank you for that! Sorry if my comments/questions may sound dumb to you, but first of all I am relativly new to Mac and OSX. Second of all, I live in Albania where there is no usefull info that can be learned and obtained about Mac and OS X but internet.  So thanks a lot for your time

There is not only adware, but there are softwares that should not be there.

For example, the excessive use of memory is not true.

I willl explain later today, I am going in a meeting now.

Try to use memory cleaner and disk diag. you can find that app on app store.

very immportant to monitoring your RAM and free space on your HD.

Do NOT use MemoryCleaner. Do not even install it.

You have enough Ram, and you have enough free disk space.

    I come back later.

MemoryCleaner is not recommended for use with the new Mavericks Memory Management System, even though the developer indicates it works. It is no longer necessary to keep free RAM with Mavericks. As long as "Page-outs" are low and Memory Pressure is in the green, then RAM use is probably fine.

OP seems to have sufficient HD space.

Never. Always, always, always check with the developer for the proper way to uninstall any non-AppStore application.

    YES.

Why did you recommend it? Absolutely unnecessary, even if it were a good tool.

You don't have to answer this post.

    OK here we go:

There is so much to change, that I would like to ask if you would be willing to do a clean reinstall of Mavericks: this would mean a format of the disk, and no recovery form TimeMachine (because that would bring back this mess).

It would mean also that you need to freshly reinstall all softwares that you need  The advantage being that all crapware and all leftovers, and all adware, and all hacked softwares are gone afterwards.

If you agree I will post all that you cannot reinstall afterwards, a long list.

Hi Mad, thanks for joining ! This is a heavy job, closely follow to help me avoid forgetting some.

"The PACE one seems to be out-of-date as it has the SnowLeopard version loaded":

This listing of all Pace-kexts is new in John's etrecheck, and I think superfluous: it is there as part of Mavericks: effectively it is one kext file, with all OS versions inside, and they are all listed here. Don't touch any of these kexts.

Yes i am willing to do that, but I need to  keep some folders I need! Mostly containing pdfs and documents I created (some of them with these "bad"/hacked softwares). Is this going to be a problem? Thank you guys for all the help again!

P.S. I used to be a windows user and the hacked problems were no trouble as long as they were not virused! Anyway that is just an excuse I guess!

OK, of course you can keep all your user data !!!

I am only against reinstalling bad applications/tools, or good software that came into your mac while being compromised by the sender: you never know what is in it (trackers and the like) and you cannot update those softwares because the hosts file is compromised (and it is illegal).

Make backups on external disks formatted as Mac OS Extended (journaled) of all your folders (documents, spreadsheets and so on) and Music and Movies and Photo (and the respective Libraries). Make more than one backup on separate disks as good practice.

Tell me which applications and tools you think you want to have afterwards.
