Turn FaceTime on or off by launching FaceTime and then using the FaceTime > Preferences... menu command.

If you have not yet activated FaceTime, you need to do so before you can turn FaceTime "ON".  Help on how to activate and how to troubleshoot other Mac FaceTime problems are available in Troubleshooting FaceTime.

If you need to post back for more help, please confirm that your posted MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.3) info is correct.

    Resetting NVRAM / PRAM

    1. Shut down your Mac.
    2. Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
    3. Turn on the computer.
    4. Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys before the gray screen appears.
    5. Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
    6. Release the keys.

I am having the same problem.

    No Camera Available.tiff

The camera won't work no matter what application I use.

I already tried resetting the PRAM and SMC but it still won't work.

I created a new user and tried it there, still nothing.

I even went as far as to format my hard drive and re-install OS X Mavericks - tried FaceTime, still the same error.

Then I installed the updates from the App Store, still, the camera won't work.

    Any other suggestion guys?

    TIA!

(Over time, Apple has changed the built-in camera's name on newer Macs from "iSight" to "FaceTime" and then to "FaceTime HD."  Regardless of the name of your Mac's built-in camera, the same info and troubleshooting applies.)
