Take screen shots of the messages. AirPrint the messages from Camera Roll. If you don't have an AirPrinter email the photos to yourself and print from computer.

This is more of a question then answer. Is it possible to print the messages from your computer backup ?

You could try accessing messages in the backup (providing it is an iTunes backup not iCloud backup) with software such as iBackupBot .

I would certainly try it on a copy of the backup and not the original.

if you could get the backup open to see the plain text, then I suppose you could copy, paste, print.  I do not know how to see the data (text) inside of a backup.  good question, because copying 1 message at a time for 2 years would be a pain in the rear.

The irony - one of the 'selling' point of text - is no trail.

I'm not even dead sure messages are captured in a backup.

Messages are included in the backup.

    What does iTunes back up

iTunes will back up the following information

    • Camera Roll (photos, screenshots, images saved, and videos taken)
For devices without a camera, Camera Roll is called Saved Photos.
    • Contacts* and Contact Favorites (regularly sync your contacts to a computer or cloud service, such as iCloud, to back them up)
    • Calendar accounts and subscribed calendars
    • Calendar events
    • Safari bookmarks, cookies, history, offline data, and currently open pages
    • Autofill for webpages
    • Offline web application cache/database
    • Notes
    • Mail accounts (mail messages aren't backed up)
    • Microsoft Exchange account configurations
    • Call history
    • Messages (iMessage and carrier SMS or MMS pictures and videos)
    • Voicemail token (This isn't the voicemail password, but is used for validation when connecting. This is only restored to a phone with the same phone number on the SIM card)
    • Voice memos
    • Network settings (saved Wi-Fi hotspots, VPN settings, network preferences)
    • Keychain (includes email account passwords, Wi-Fi passwords, and passwords you enter into websites and some applications)
If you encrypt the backup, you can transfer the keychain information to the new device. With an unencrypted backup, you can restore the keychain only to the same iOS device. If you're restoring to a new device with an unencrypted backup, you need to enter these passwords again.
    • App Store Application data (except the Application itself, its tmp, and Caches folder)
    • Application settings, preferences, and data, including documents
    • In-app purchases
    • Game Center account
    • Wallpapers
    • Location service preferences for apps and websites you've allowed to use your location
    • Home screen arrangement
    • Installed profiles
When you restore a backup to a different device, installed configuration profiles aren't restored (such as accounts, restrictions, or anything that can be specified through an installed profile). Any accounts or settings that aren't associated with an installed profile will be restored.
    • Map bookmarks, recent searches, and the current location displayed in Maps
    • Nike + iPod saved workouts and settings
    • Paired Bluetooth devices (which you can only use if restored to the same phone that did the backup)
    • Saved suggestion corrections
    • Trusted hosts that have certificates that can't be verified
    • Web clips

    Here’s what iCloud backs up:

    • Purchase history for music, movies, TV shows, apps, and booksYour iCloud backup includes information about the content you have purchased, but not the purchased content itself. When you restore from an iCloud backup, your purchased content is automatically downloaded from the iTunes Store, App Store, or iBooks Store. Some types of content aren’t downloaded automatically in all countries, and previous purchases may be unavailable if they have been refunded or are no longer available in the store. For more information, see the Apple Support article iTunes in the Cloud availability by country. Some types of content aren’t available in all countries. For more information, see the Apple Support article Which types of items can I buy in my country?.
    • Photos and videos in your Camera Roll
    • Device settings
    • App data
    • Home screen and app organization
    • iMessage, text (SMS), and MMS messages
    • Ringtones
    • Visual Voicemail

Aloha Apela, I hate to say it doesn't look like there's a print all option. If you need these copies for legal reasons I'd contact a lawyer to make sure you'll have something that would stand up in court. Bob.

If this is for legal reasons, I would have your lawyer see if they can be subpoenaed from your carrier.

You're welcome. Do you have a DropBox account ? If so take the screen shots and upload the photos to Dropbox. Now you can download copies to a computer to print or you can open your account at the lawyers office for viewing. Also the messages are all now backed up away from the phone. Practice uploading with unimportant photos first to get the hang of it.
